The festival of colors which usually falls on Falgun but this time it is on Chaitra 5 (March 20, 2011). It is one of the main festivals of Hindus and it is celebrated in Nepal, India and Sri Lanka with exchanging colors and spraying coloured water on one another. In Nepal, it is celebrated by throwing lola (meaning water balloon) It usually starts a week ahead by young boys and girls. It is believed that the combination of different colours played at this festival take all the sorrow away and make life itself more colourful.
